We are lucky and blessed to be born into good families, to be educated and be given the opportunity to develop our potential. Unfortunately, many others do not have the same set of circumstances as us.

The Global Teacher Prize is an annual one million dollar award from the Varkey Foundation to be given to a super-special teacher. One innovative and caring teacher who has made an inspirational impact on their students and their community will receive the reward of a lifetime. Teachers currently teaching children in a compulsory setting or between the ages 5-18 are eligible. Through the prize, we aim to shine a spotlight on the incredible stories of teacher inspiration around the world and help raise the status of the profession!
The AHHA Education organisation was represented on the top 10 candidates on the first Global Teacher Prize by Madenjit Singh who started by launching a free school in his home. By the end of 2014 his organisation had grown to 185 schools in 5 countries, offering a free comprehensive two-year training and boarding program providing life skills for disadvantaged youths. Madenjit has developed his own system for teaching basic English in 3 to 6 months and continues to teach on a daily basis.
Global Development Network Japanese Award for Most Innovative Development Project GDI-AHHA Education. The Global Development Awards and Medals Competition (AMC) is a unique competition for promoting research on development and scaling up innovative projects. Launched in 2000 with the support of the Government of Japan, this competition seeks to unearth new talent and support innovative ideas on development.
Dr. Madenjit Singh ( Big Teacher ) The inaugural Better Malaysia Foundation Personality of the Year Award 2012 was presented to our founder, Dr. Madenjit Singh, in recognition of his efforts in motivating, educating and helping youth in poor communities in Malaysia and the region. Presented to Founders Dr. Madenjit Singh & CD Singh by Channel NewsAsia for their work in setting up training centres and providing free education to underprivileged rural and urban youth in South east Asia.
Presented to: CD Singh by Asian Youth Ambassador (AYA) Dream Malaysia Awards for his work among underprivileged children with AHHA Education. Awarded in recognition to individuals and institutions for their spirit of perseverance in their efforts to better themselves as well as their community and nation. Also serves as an encouragement to individuals and responsible institutions to persevere in their dreams of improving the quality of life and for those around them, in spite of the difficulties and obstacles they encounter.
2005: Cambodian Red Cross Plaque of Appreciation to the Leadership Character Development Institute 2004: Cambodian Red Cross Certificate presented to AHHA Education in its contribution to saving the lives of the people of Cambodia by being the largest donors to the national blood banks.
Presented to Founder Dr. Madenjit Singh by the Inter-religious and International Federation for World Peace. The Ambassador for Peace recognises Mr. Madenjit Singh for exemplifying the ideal of living for the sake of others. 2001 was declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Volunteers. Transcending racial, national and religious barriers, the Ambassadors for Peace contribute to the fulfilment of the hope for all ages, a unified world of peace wherein the spiritual and material dimensions of life are harmonised.
